| Dr. Jack E. Amos Founder |
Hello and welcome, I'm Dr. Jack Amos, the founder and director
of LifeSpan Human Development Institute. My goal in the continuing development of LifeSpan is
to fill the needs of the individual held in the fields of Depression, Anxiety, Marital problems, Bipolar, Autism, Alzheimer's,
Parkinson's and other dehumanizing disorders; To educate and train individuals, churches, business, schools, and organizations
through seminars, lectures, consultation and collaboration; and to provide services to the greater community to bring health
and happiness to individuals and families.
LifeSpan is not just a name, LifeSpan is a description of the span of your life from birth to death. Your
life span is a constantly evolving and reshaping you physically, emotionally, and socially. Events from early childhood form
your opinions and reactions toward events in your adult life which, in turn, shape your final years.
In today's world, theories guide the collection of information,
and its interpretation. At lifeSpan we apply such information to real-life situations. In fact our service usually
begins with a prediction about behavior drawn from a theory or a hypotheses of the clients needs. But this is only the beginning
of a series of activities that result in our developing a sound strategy and application of procedures often involving many
steps and choices.
LifeSpan Services
LifeSpan provides multiple services that range from thoughtful personal counseling in our office
to therapeutic conversations via email and telephone.
In addition to one on one counseling, we offer eye-popping presentations and
jaw dropping seminars tailored to each specific circumstance.
Christian Based Consuling
LifeSpan is founded on the principals of Christian based counseling.
If you feel empty, consider that it may be more important to you to control than
to love. If you know others who appear to be empty, consider that it may be more important to them to control than to love.
Opening to love does not mean that we will be vulnerable to being hurt, manipulated,
taken advantage of. In fact, the opposite can happen: in experiencing God, we receive the wisdom and strength to know what
is good or bad for us, what is right or wrong for us.
In opening to God, we discover what is in our highest good.
It is far safer than relying on our wounded ego self. Opening to the Love that is God through your intent to learn can bring
you the deep sense of fullness and safety for which your heart and soul have always yearned.
God is love, the spirit of love, the energy of love. That love is always here for
us when we open our heart. Our heart opens automatically when our intent is to learn what is loving to ourselves and others
rather than protect against what we fear with our controlling behavior. To know God is to know Love. To know Love is to know
God.
