This year LifeSpan is challenging its support team members, and persons
like you, to send a minimum of 20 kids to Kamp Kaleidoscope
Kamp Kaleidoscope is an inclusive summer camp program providing summer camp fun for children diagnosed
with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The camp is attended by children diagnosed with ASD and their neuro-typical peers providing
a fun educational summer experience. Kamp Kaleidosope was founded by Mark H. Yeager and was developed to meet the summer program
needs of children with ASD who are either not accepted at other camps due to their diagnosis or space was not available. The
basis for this camp is steeped deep in the concept of socialization with neru-typical peers. The need to develop these skills
is found in all activities and conduct at the camp.
LifeSpan

reach this goal we must raise $6000.00

| HORSEBACK RIDING |
Horseback Riding
Often referred to as Hippo-therapy,from the Greek word "hippos" (meaning horse.)Horseback
riding provides a sensation that is very appealing to children with autism spectrum disorders. Specific riding skills are
not taught (as in horseback riding), but rather a foundation is established to improve neurological function and sensory
processing. The horse's walk provides a sensory input through movement which is variable, rhythmic, and representative. Horseback
riding is another way Kamp provides the crossover experience between therapy and fun.

| MUSIC |
Music
Music, the universal language, has always been a big part of Kamp Kaleidoscope. Not only is it one of the biggest interactive activities, the music program at Kamp is fine tuned for fun! The Kamp
music experience is not only therapeutic, it's an opportunity for many children on the spectrum to relate with those around
them. . It provides them a Chance to l;laugh, to yell, and dance while participating in one of the most sensory stimulating
events during their stay. At the end of Kamp, parents have the opportunity to experience all the children's music in our kamp
program! Our music program allows all kampers an outlet to express themselves in their own way while experiencing all the
joys music has to offer.

Swimming
Our
biggest attraction at Kamp, swimming provides one of the single most effective sensory outlets to children
on the spectrum. NO, we don't swim in the lake, although some have tried ... we offer a gigantic pool area supervised by professional
lifeguards at all times. Every child swims with their counselor ensuring continuous human interaction while enjoying the cool
escape from the summer heat. Not only is swimming an extremely cardiovascular activity it promotes muscle coordination. we
also thoroughly enjoy how much excess energy everyone sheds while laughing and splashing. It tends to help everyone sleep
a little better at night!

| ARTS AND CRAFTS |
Arts& Crafts
Kamp Kaleidoscope's arts and crafts program is second to none. From custom
leather bracelets to unique pottery, our art program offers all the benefits of therapeutic recreation by stimulating
the mind as well as the hands. There is no better feeling in the heart of a parent than holding a one of a kind creation by
their own child. By allowing our kids a Chance to be inspired to develop a completely original item that they can share with
others and remember the Kamp experience for the years to come makes us very proud to do what we do.

Astronomy
Another new experience at Kamp will be the nighttime lesson the wonders of
astronomy. From planets to galaxies, from novas to constellations, kampers can learn about the wonders of the universe. With
telescopes. maps, and expert guidance Kampers can view and discuss the exciting cosmos.

| HIKING |
Nature Hikes
Nature
hikes allow the options of studying all the wonderful things the beautiful forest around kamp
has to offer. A multitude of birds, trees, and insects await as a member of the kamp staff lead
kampers down a path of discovery. Make sure you have your walking shoes packed because our nature hike is sure to be a blast!

Fishin'
now that's a REAL KAMP ACTIVITY! The kamp fishing program has always been a big hit with every one at Kamp. Making the best
of a well stocked lake, the Kampers are guaranteed to make the catch of their life ... big or small!! Fishing will not only
help our Kampers fish better, but can give many of them a better ununderstanding of the sport of fishing, just another
way Kamp is expanding to include a wide variety of interest and recreation
